Join a Select Group of Volvo Enthusiasts
Love your Volvo? So do the members of the Volvo Club of America (VCOA). This nationwide Volvo enthusiasts group has grown to become the largest in North America since it was first established in 1983 in New England. The club caters to owners of both new and classic Volvos. In fact, many members own several Volvos and keep a classic in the garage for meets and Sunday drives, but have one of the new models for daily driving.
Belonging to a car club doesn't mean you have to like working on cars, although there are many car experts in the club. Some work on or restore classic Volvos for a living. But there are lots of members who simply like their Volvos and what they stand for. Let's face it, you joined a select group of car buyers when you bought your Volvo. Joining VCOA is simply a way of taking that enthusiasm to another level.
The club has chapters throughout the country and organizes local, regional and national meets. Activities range from covered-bridge tours in Pennsylvania to track days in California to car shows at the Larz Anderson Auto Museum in Massachusetts.
This summer 62 members even took a trip to Sweden to visit the mother country of their babies. During the 10-day trip, they toured Stockholm, drove through the glass country and were treated royally by Volvo Cars when they got to Gothenburg. Seven families in the group even bought new cars through the Overseas Delivery Program while there.
A subscription to Rolling magazine is one of the benefits of club membership. This four-color magazine comes out six times per year. It covers both new and classic Volvos. There are car restoration articles, historic Volvo information, coverage of meets and other club activities, plus all the new Volvo models and products. Please visit VCOA's website (www.vcoa.org) to review a sample issue.
There are financial benefits of belonging to VCOA. Many Volvo dealers offer discounts to members on parts and service. You also receive a rebate on the purchase of your next new Volvo. For more information, please visit www.vcoa.org.
